Holy Trinity

Lesson 1

We have one God, which is a Trinity. Three separate persons, yet act as one.

1. In Matthew 28:19 are we to baptize in the name or names of God?

Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

2. List the three persons that make up the Holy Trinity in Matthew 28:19.

3. List the three words, in which the sum of our salvation consists in the Holy Trinity as found in 2 Corinthians 13:14.

NOTE: In many places in the Bible we find the three persons of the Holy Trinity are present at the same time and in different places.

5. List each place that one person of the Holy Trinity was at the baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3:16-17 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” We have all three persons of the Holy Trinity present at the same time in three different places.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
