Angels That sinned in Noah's Day
When you finish reading this lesson go to the Work Sheet.
The second group of angels that sinned before God are the angels during the time of Noah. The Bible states that there are some angels that are in hell.
"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;" (2 Peter 2:4)
These angels worked on the earth during the time of Noah.
"And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;" (2 Peter 2:5)
They wanted to be married to the women of the earth. These angels left their place of dwelling, their first estate, and married the women of the earth.
"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day." (Jude 1:6)
"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." (Genesis 6:2)
Angels are not to marry.
"For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." (Matthew 22:30)
The children born to this sinful union were half human and half angel. These children could do anything that they imagined; they were geniuses.
"3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown." (Genesis 6:3-4)
These angels were called the sons of God . They were also called God s spirits.
The days just before the rapture would be like the days of Noah.
"36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." (Matthew 24:36-41)
Not only would the world be evil, but angels would sin again and marry the women of the earth. This is why women must be in the right relationship with God and have the power of God, because of the angels.
"For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels." (1 Corinthians 11:10)
Angels have sinned will again. Angels are not perfect, they are not gods.
"Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:" (Job 4:18)
We will judge angels.
"Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?" (1 Corinthians 6:3)
