Genesis 43

Romans 8:28

I. Jacob must send his sons back to Egypt for food. Vs. 1-15

    A. Jacob and his family need food again. Vs. 1-2

    B. Judah told Jacob that they could not go without Benjamin. Vs. 3-5

    C. Jacob wanted to know why they said anything about their family. Vs. 6-7

    D. Judah promised Jacob his life for Benjamin. Vs. 8-10

    E. Israel gave consent and told the boys to take presents to Egypt. Vs. 11-14

    F. Israel’s sons took the presents, double money, and Benjamin to Joseph. Vs. 15

II. Joseph receives his brothers at his house. Vs. 16-34

    A. Joseph had the ruler of his house to bring his brothers to his home. Vs.16-17

    B. Joseph’s brothers were afraid. Vs. 18

    C. Joseph’s brothers explained to Joseph’s steward about the money that was in their sacks of corn. Vs. 19-22

    D. The steward told them that their God had provided the money, and he brought Simeon out to them. Vs. 23

    E. They made preparation to meet Joseph at noon. Vs. 24-25

    F. When Joseph came in, they bowed before him. Vs. 26

    G. Joseph wanted to know how Israel was doing. Vs. 27-28

    H. When Joseph saw Benjamin, he left the room and wept. Vs. 29-30

    I. Joseph ate with them in the style of the Egyptians. Vs. 31-34
