The Throne in Heaven

Beginners course on Revelation.

1. John saw a throne in Heaven and one setting on the throne. The one on the throne was to   upon like a  and  stone. Revelation 4:3

Note: The jasper stone is known for its transparency, and variety of colours , and is symbolic of the various and infinite perfections of God. The sardine stone is red, and of a bloody colour, which is symbolic of justice by the blood of Jesus.

Note: A rainbow was the sign of God’s covenant with Noah, that he would not destroy the world by water (Ge 9:13), which is symbolic of the saved protected from the tribulation period. The emerald is green, in that God's promises are everlasting.

Note: A throne is a place of authority.

4. How many elders were sitting on the seats?  . Revelation 4:4

5. The elders were clothed in   raiment, and they wore crowns of  . Revelation 4:4

6. What came out of the throne?       Revelation 4:5

7. There were seven   of fire burning before the throne and they are the seven   of God. Revelation 4:5

8. The seven Spirits are before the   of God. Revelation 1:4

A. The seven Spirits are the seven   before the throne of God. Revelation 4:5

B. The seven Spirits are the seven   of the Lamb (Jesus). Revelation 5:6

C. The seven Spirits are   forth into all the earth. Revelation 5:6

Note: The Holy Spirit is the seven Spirits.

Note: A. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity, before the throne of God. Matthew 28:19

Note: B. The Holy Spirit came as tongues of fire to the believers, lamps before the throne of God. Acts 2:3-4

Note: C. The Holy Spirit is sent to all the earth through the believers as a command of Jesus. John 14:26; 20:21

Note: Seven is the symbolic number of completion and perfection.
