Angels do not know everything.
"10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into." (1 Peter 1:10-12)
Angels would like to know more about salvation for mankind. Angels do not understand God s grace to sinful man. Angels want to know more about the sufferings of Christ, the glory of his resurrection, his ascension, and his return.
Angels rejoice over a sinner that is saved.
"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." (Luke 15:10)
Angels are not to be worshipped.
"Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind," (Colossians 2:18)
The manna that God gave the Israelites to eat was angels' food.
"24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.
25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full." (Psalms 78:24-25)
Angels had the responsibility of giving the law.
"Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it]." (Acts 7:53)
Mankind was made a little lower than the angels as far as the flesh is concerned.
"4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour."
(Psalms 8:4-5)
Jesus took on man's flesh in order to taste death for every man and to pay the price to redeem man from his sinful state.
"9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings." (Hebrews 2:9-10)
When a person is saved by the blood of Jesus, then that person is greater than the angels. A saved person becomes a child of God and sits (has authority) in heavenly places because of Jesus.
"And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:"
(Ephesians 2:6)
A saved person will judge angels.
"Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?" (1 Corinthians 6:3)
This fact reveals that a saved person is now above angels in authority. This fact reveals that angels do and will sin. Angels are not perfect or gods.
The Bible does not give us an exact number of angels that God has created.
"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels," (Hebrews 12:22)
"And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;" (Revelation 5:11)
But we know that there are enough to do what He wants done throughout the universe.
Beware of angels preaching or writing anything to replace, add, or take away from the Bible.
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:8)
